Venice — Where the Road Ends and the Water Begins
Venice's historic centre has no cars at all — none, not even taxis. A chauffeur's job here is different from every other city we serve: get you swiftly to the water's edge, coordinate the boat that takes over from there, and be exactly where you need us when you come back the other way.
Good to know
Venice runs on water — here's how we handle it
Nowhere else in our network works quite like Venice. Once you're within the historic centre (the sestieri), the only way to move is on foot or by boat — there are no roads, and there is no such thing as a Venetian taxi in the sense you'd expect. Your chauffeur takes you by car as far as physically possible — the airport's water-taxi dock, the Piazzale Roma garages, or the causeway car parks at Tronchetto — and coordinates the boat connection from there, whether that's a private water taxi or the vaporetto, so the handoff is seamless rather than something you have to figure out on arrival.
Airport Transfer
Venice Marco Polo (VCE) Transfer
Since Venice's historic centre is car-free, your chauffeur takes you as far as the water's edge — the water-taxi dock or the causeway car parks — and coordinates the boat connection into the city.
Live flight tracking
Your pickup adjusts automatically to your actual landing time, so the boat connection is timed correctly too.
Car to the water's edge
A private car for the entire mainland portion of the journey — no shuttle bus, no queue at the taxi rank.
Coordinated handoff
We arrange the water-taxi or boat connection to line up with your arrival, so there's no wait at the dock.
Fixed price, booked in advance
You know the full cost — car and boat connection — before you land.
Cruise terminal & Film Festival
Two very different reasons to book Venice
Venice cruise terminal
Embarkation and disembarkation days bring heavy crowds and congestion around the port — a pre-booked chauffeur with a fixed pickup point saves real time versus arranging transport on the day.
Venice Film Festival, Lido
Each September, the Lido di Venezia hosts one of the world's oldest film festivals — a genuinely different transfer from the historic centre, reachable by a short boat hop we coordinate directly.
St. Mark's Square & the Doge's Palace
Venice's ceremonial heart, reached only by foot or boat from your water-taxi drop-off — we time the return leg to when you're actually ready, not a fixed schedule.
The Rialto Bridge & Grand Canal
The city's commercial spine for eight centuries — a natural stop on the boat journey between the mainland and your hotel.
Beyond the lagoon
Verona, the Veneto wine country and beyond
Once you're back on the mainland, Venice makes an excellent base for the Veneto region by car — Verona's arena and Romeo-and-Juliet balcony, Padua's university town, and the vineyards behind Valpolicella and the Prosecco hills are all comfortable day trips.
| Destination | Drive time | Distance |
|---|---|---|
| Verona | ~1h15 | ~120 km |
| Padua | ~40 min | ~40 km |
| Veneto wine country (Valpolicella / Prosecco hills) | ~50 min | ~55 km |
| Treviso | ~35 min | ~30 km |
