Orly sits closer to central Paris than Charles de Gaulle and is the more convenient arrival point for addresses south of the Seine and across southern Île-de-France — the 7th, 15th and 16th arrondissements, or destinations further south toward the Loire Valley. If your itinerary favours the south side of the city, Orly is usually the faster route in.
Orly's southbound position makes it a convenient start or end point for chauffeured trips further into France — a wine estate in the Loire, a coastal run toward Bordeaux, or simply an easier exit from the city than fighting cross-town traffic to CDG.
